Latest News on JEE Main 2019 Exam

01st October 2018 – The last date extended for uploading photographs and signature.

30th September 2018 – Registration for JEE Main January 2019 ends now. JEE Main Application Form Correction start from 8th October 2018.

08th September 2018 – The merit list for admission to engineering colleges via JEE Main.

31st August 2018 – Registration for JEE Main 2019 begins at the official website i.e. jeemain.nic.in

7th July 2018 – The National Test Agency is appointed as the official board for JEE Main 2019 Exam. It is appointed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) led by Prakash Javadekar.

JEE Main 2019 New Changes

  • Now 12th Student will not have any type of weightage on their marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE Main.
  • Apart from JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores, to get quality for admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs, they should have secured minimum 75% marks in their 12th class or should be in top 20% percentile in 12th Board.
  • The above rule is applied for SC/ ST students with minimum qualifying marks of 65% in their 12th Board Exam.

JEE Main 2019 Application Form Correction

This facility is available to make correction and modification in the candidate’s application form. This process is also known as JEE Main Application Form Correction Window. Following we have provided the key point on application correction window:

  • The JEE Main application form correction window will start from January 2019.
  • This process is only available through online mode.
  • Candidates would be able to change any type of details in their application form, expect mode of exam. Candidate cannot change the exam mode from CBT to PBT.
  • Any type of additional fees can be paid through credit/debit card, e-wallet or e-challan only

JEE Main 2019 Admit Card

The admit card download link will be available on the official website of JEE Main. The candidate who has successfully applied for JEE Main exam can download Admit Card.

  • Candidate can book their admit card download slot booking while filling the application form.
  • JEE Main Admit Card 2019 will be released in 2nd week of March 2019.
  • To download JEE Main hall ticket, the candidate needs to enter their application form no., date of birth and security code on the official website.
  • In case of any error on the admit card, a candidate needs to communicate to the JEE (Main) Secretariat/CBSE immediately.
  • On Pen base test, Candidates needs to bring anyone photo ID proof along with the admit card to enter the examination.

JEE Main 2019 Application Form

JEE Main 2019 Application Form for January will release on 1st September to 30th September 2018. The registration process will be done only through online mode. Following are the important key point to be followed during the registration process:

  • As per the latest notification, Aadhar Card will be mandatory while registration process.
  • Application Form for JEE Main would publish on their official website of JEE Main.
  • Candidate must fill all the mandatory field marked with red star mark with correct details.
  • After filling the application form, the student needs to upload the scanned document of the candidate’s passport, candidate’s signature candidate’s mother’s/father’s/guardian.
  • Required dimension for the Image must be 3.5 x 4.5 cm and dimension of the signature should be 3.5 x 1.5 cm.
  • The format of the required Image should be in JPG or JPEG format only.
  • Please note multiple application of a single candidate will be rejected straight away by the board.
  • Candidates no longer need to send hard copy of the application form.

JEE Main 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for JEE Main exam candidates needs to checklist all the eligibity criteria given below to proceed further:

Age Criteria for JEE Main Exam

  • Candidate should be born on or after 1st October 1994.
  • A candidate who belongs to ST/SC or other reserved categories should be born on or after 1st October 1989.

No. of Attempt

  • Both general and reserve category candidates would only have 3 attempts to clear JEE Main Exam.
  • In case of JEE Advanced Exam, the candidate could appear for the maximum of two consecutive years.

Education Qualification

  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2017 are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates appearing for 12th board exams in the year 2019 can apply for JEE Main Exam.
  • A candidate who has a diploma degree can also apply for JEE Main but only for the admission in IITs. They can also appear for JEE Advanced Exam.
  • There is no minimum mark required to apply for JEE Main
  • Apart from JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores, to get quality for admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs, they should have secured minimum 75% marks in their 12th class or should be in top 20% percentile in 12th Board.
  • The above rule is applied for SC/ ST students with minimum qualifying marks of 65% in their 12th Board Exam.
  • Candidates must have five subjects in the 10+2 exam. Candidates should also have physicsmathematics, language, anyone from the Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject and any other subject.
  • Students who have appeared in 12th exams in 2016, did not pass in 2016 but passed in 2017 are not eligible to apply

JEE Main 2019 Syllabus with Weightage

The Syllabus for paper 1 of JEE Main 2019 Syllabus for Paper 1 is the combination of topics mentioned in 11th and 12th class syllabus of CBSE, ICSE, and other state board.

Physics:

JEE Main Paper 2 Syllabus:

Part I: Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, Materials, Visualising three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings, Visualising, Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal), etc.

Part II: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms and elements, colour texture, harmony and contrast, Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, subtraction, rotation, Creating two dimensional and three dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms, etc.

JEE Main 2019 Exam Pattern

JEE Main exam pattern 2019 is divided into two papers. Paper 1 is for B.E. and B.Tech and Paper 2 is for B.Arch and B.Planning. Below we have provided key elements of JEE Main 2019 Exam pattern:

  • JEE Main 2019 will be organized by National Test Agency in two modes i.e. Online and Offline.
  • Paper 1 question paper will have objective types question and Paper 2 question paper will also have objective questions.
  • Both papers have the same time duration which is 3 Hours
  • The language of JEE Main question paper in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. Please note Gujarat language option is only available in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
  • The marking system for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 is simple. Four marks addition for every correct answer and 1 mark deduction for every incorrect answer.

JEE Main 2019 Answer Key

The answer key of JEE Main 2019 will be published just after the 1st week of exam conducted. According to tentative notification answer key and OMR sheet shall release in Last week of April 2019.

If any candidate wants to challenge published answer key, they have to fill an application to do so and pay Rs 1000/- per question challenged.

Candidate will be able to check their answers with the published answer key. With the help of these Answer Key, candidates can estimate their chances of qualifying the JEE Main.

JEE Main 2019 Results

The declaration of JEE Main doesn’t take much time. Within 1 month after exam conducted, the board shall be ready to publish JEE Main 2019 results.

JEE Main 2019 January Result shall release in 1st week of February 2019 and JEE Main 2019 April shall release 1st week of May 2019.

JEE Main score shall comprise All India rank and All India category rank. Also, for admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/SFIs/Others, only All India Rank is used.
