IBPS Clerk 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Certain eligibility conditions are prescribed by the IBPS for the aspiring candidates. These conditions are identically applicable to all. The students need to satisfy all the eligibility conditions so as to apply for the Exam of IBPS Clerk 2018.

Criteria 1: Age Factor

Minimum Age: 20 years
Maximum Age: 28 years

Criteria 2: Nationality Status

The aspirants must be the citizen of India or the subject of Bhutan or Nepal so as to apply for the Exam.

Criteria 3: Qualification

A bachelor degree (Graduation) in any stream from the recognized university is required to apply for the examination.


IBPS Clerk 2018 Application Form

The application form for IBPS Clerk 2018 Exam is supposed to be released in the month of September 2018. Before heading the application form, the applicants are required to ensure their eligibility and gather the requisite information which is required to be added in the application form. The candidates are required to submit the single application form as multiple forms will not be accepted by the authority. It is important to note that applications are invited and accepted only in the online mode through the IBPS Clerk official website. No other modes will be accepted.

  • First of all, the applicant will have to register their application by inserting the basic information such as:

  • On submitting these details in the registration form, the candidate will get the unique application/ registration number and password which will be displayed on the computer screen.
  • The applicant can now log in with these credentials so as to complete the form.
  • Next, the applicant will have to upload the scanned photo and signature in the appropriate format. The files should support the system’s requirements.
  • After uploading the scanned files successfully, the aspirant needs to make the fee payment of Rs 600 so as to finish the application form procedure. On the successful transaction, an e – receipt will be generated. This e-receipt is the proof of the successful transaction.
  • Before the final submission, the aspirants are required to check the details once as no changes can be done after the final submission.
  • It should be noted that the bank charges for the online payment will have to be borne by the candidates.


IBPS Clerk 2018 Admit Card

The admit card is an official document which will be issued to only those candidates who have registered them on time. It will be made available in the online mode and the candidates can download the same by using their login credentials. It is important to know that candidates are not allowed to enter exam hall without this document. This valid identity proof will be checked at the time of examination as well as at the time of interview (if selected). It posses the essential details regarding the candidate and exam which includes aspirant’s name, roll number, date and time of the exam, center name and address, reporting time and other exam related instructions.

For Prelims:

  • Sections: There will THREE (3) sections in the exam paper.
  • Type: The exam is objective in nature.
  • No. of questions: 100 questions
  • Time Duration: ONE hour or 60 minutes shall be given to complete IBPS Clerk 2018 Exam.
  • Maximum Marks: 100 marks

For Mains:

  • Sections: There will be total of FOUR sections.
  • Mode: The exam is held in the online mode.
  • Time Duration: 160 minutes will be granted to solve the paper.
  • Maximum Marks: 200 marks
  • Maximum Questions: 190 questions

IBPS Clerk 2018 Result

The result of IBPS Clerk Exam 2018 will be announced as according to the performance of the candidates as per schedule by the official authority i.e. IBPS. The separate result will be published for the prelims and main examination. Final merit list will be prepared by taking the marks in the main exam. The candidate’s good performance will help them to get the higher place on the merit list. The aspirant’s mark in the exam will be then normalized by applying the equi-percentile method. Also, the scores up to two (2) decimal digits will be considered for calculations.

IBPS Clerk 2018 Cutoff

Each candidate requires a minimum score so as to be considered for the further selection process and that minimum score is known as cutoff marks. Cutoff shall be decided on the basis of the total number state/ UT wise vacancies and will be used for the provisional allotment. The cutoff score released by the authority shall be treated as the final one and should be accepted by all.


IBPS Clerk 2018 Selection Procedure

In order to get selected as a clerk, the candidates need to join and qualify the selection procedure. It includes two stages i.e. prelims and main examination. Prelims exam is qualifying in nature and only considered to choose the candidates for the main examination. It has no role in the merit list. The candidates will get provisional allotment on the basis of their marks in the main IBPS Clerk 2018 examination.
